Re-entry Program
-
This program is designed to help thwart the recycling of justice impacted individuals from prison to the community, and back to prison. Addressing the skill-based services is essential to securing reintegration, considering the traditional issues that system impacted persons confront, once re-entering into the community. Traditional issues such as:

Stigma by employers
-
Insufficient services
-
Gap in work experience
-
Societal barriers to employment
-
Housing Issues
-
Injustices, and discrimination issues
-
Systemic racism
-
Low self-esteem issues
-
Health and safety concerns
-
Negative peer pressure
-
-
Soft Skills/Workforce Development Program: participants will receive the soft skills training and career planning services they need to assist them with finding gainful employment. The following topics will be covered in great detail:

Communication
-
The importance of self-awareness/emotional intelligence
-
Teamwork
-
How to cope with change
-
How to work with, lead, and motivate others
-
How to be a professional
-
How to effectively manage time
-
How to define conflicts and its causes in the workplace
-
How to effectively solve problems in the workplace, at home, and in the community
-

Other discussion topics include:

Being assertive and not aggressive
-
The power of positive image
-
Accepting direction and constructive criticism
-
Financial literacy, setting S.M.A.R.T. financial goals
-
Budgeting basics
-
Credit and debit and banking fundamentals
-
The role of diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace and society
-
Other FREE wrap-around services:

All program participants are eligible to receive career coaching, job replacement assistance, and mentorship.

**Stipends: participants will receive a monetary stipend for program participation AND completion.
