


The Foundation Academy LLC Grant FundedYouth Program
The Foundation Academy LLC is a 2025 recipient of the State of Illinois R3 Grant - funds designed to help Restore, Reinvest, and Renew Illinois communities that have been harmed by violence, excessive incarceration, and economic disinvestment.
The Foundation Academy LLC is offering a FREE – 7 week - Soft Skills/Workforce Development, Career Education and Readiness Job Training Program.
Illinois citizens residing in the South Central and Central Illinois regions are eligible to take advantage of the following FREE programs and services:

Youth Program serves 12 – 19 year-olds

Soft Skills/Workforce Development Program: The program’s primary goal is to equip youth with the soft skills (those behaviors that are more social than technical) that are critical to promoting protective factors and reducing risk factors as they relate to promoting positive relationships resulting in developing a strong, vibrant workforce, positive self-image, home life, and community. In this program, youth will discuss Top 10 Soft Skills needed for career growth, the perception of soft skills, and why they are important to compete, job attainment, promotion, and success in the 21st - century workforce.

Career Education and Readiness Job Training: Youth will participate in career exploration activities, identify their job skills, and use the internet to search for job opportunities, and to learn about industries. Program participants will engage in interactive learning activities designed to help them understand the relationship between their interest, skills, values, and abilities, and how that informs their educational and career options.

All program participants are eligible to receive career coaching, job placement, and mentoring.
