Introduction to Public Speaking
In this session, participants will learn why public speaking is important, and how to apply public speaking to different areas of life. Attendees will also learn how to overcome their fears, organize their thoughts, inform, persuade, and motivate their audience to become a confident and competent speaker.
Professionalism/Moral
Leadership
Participants will explore an array of soft skills that a good leader possesses to effectively build moral and ethical relationships in the workplace, resulting in productivity, profit gains, synergy, and employee satisfaction.
Grant Writing 101 (Seasonal)
In this session participants will learn important terminology, grant types, and components, evaluating which grant would best fit their organization or program. Participants will learn about the life cycle and processes of grants, as well as identify where their organization or program is in the grant lifecycle. Lastly, they will discover effective ways and places to search for grant opportunities.
Time Management
Participants will learn strategies and tips on how to effectively manage time, efficiently getting things done while juggling multiple tasks.
Career Education/Readiness

Job Search Strategies
In this session, participants will explore extensive career pathway modules, discovering careers that meet their personal interest, education, and experiences. Participants will also learn effective job search strategies, resume writing, and interviewing tips.
Grant Writing 201 (Seasonal)
Participants will explore interactive activities, discovering how to conduct an effective search for grant proposals, researching grant funders. They will then choose one grant funder, research potential funding opportunities from said funder, developing a proposed plan. Finaly, participants will learn and incorporate grant writing strategies into a basic grant proposal, understanding key grant management steps, designing a simple grant management plan.
Organization and Detail
Attendees will learn the importance of being organized. They will also learn best practices on how to improve their organization and detail skills. They will learn why these are two critical skills, and if not properly managed, how they can have negative consequences for self and others.
Computer Literacy
Attendees will re-learn basic computer terminology, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint applications, as well as how to effectively navigate the world wide web. Clients must have access to a laptop or desktop computer with a camera.
